Common questions

How do I change the language?

Settings → Language. The app switches immediately. The word games play in the dictionary of the language you chose at first launch; to change that, use “Puzzle language” in Settings and reopen the app — a puzzle stores its letters as positions in an alphabet, so the games are rebuilt rather than switched underneath you.

Do I need a special keyboard?

No. The word games have their own keyboard built in — QWERTY for English, a 32-key Persian one for Persian.

Does it work offline?

Yes. Every puzzle is generated on the device. The only things that use a connection are iCloud sync, Game Center leaderboards and the invite-code service, all optional; the games play fine without any of them.

What are the coins for?

Hints, and unlocking newly added games. You earn them by finishing puzzles, by keeping a daily streak, when a friend you invited solves their first puzzle, and once for leaving an App Store review. Every game that shipped with the app is free to play at every difficulty.

How do I get my records onto another device?

Turn on iCloud sync in Settings on both devices, signed in to the same Apple Account. Best times, coins, unlocked games and your streak follow; unfinished puzzles stay where you left them.

Do I have to sign in?

No. Every game works signed out. Signing in with Apple only keeps your progress attached to a stable identity so it survives reinstalling the app.

A word in a puzzle looks wrong.

Tell us the word and the game it appeared in. The dictionaries are curated by hand and every word has been checked, but a bad clue is the easiest thing to miss — and the easiest to fix.
